Cycling for everyone

We run training and touring cycle holidays and offer the option of accompanied or independent rides to suit all levels of fitness, so whether you are a top category rider, triathlete or relative newcomer to cycling we can accommodate your needs.

Self-Catering Gites

Cycling has been very much part of our lives so we are aware of all the necessary ingredients needed to get the best out of a holiday. We appreciate that most of our guests are coming  from very busy lives and want a memorable, enjoyable, hassle free holiday in a relaxed setting and we hope this stunning region, superb choice of rides and comfortable gites will tick all the right boxes.

Based in the village of St.Jean-en-Royans, in the heart of the spectacular Vercors National Park, Rhone Alps, we are an easy destination to get to by train, plane, or car, for a week or weekend and offer a variety of holiday packages or gite rental. We also offer bespoke training weeks if you are preparing for an event .

Cycling Experience and Expertise

We have the cycling expertise and extensive knowledge of the area and all accompanied rides will be guided by Roger, who has 13 years experience as a Top International rider based in the UK, Luxembourg and France. He has competed in 535 road races, 286 of which were in Europe and has  ridden alongside many of the well known names in cycling.  For the last 2 years of his career he was signed to the Velo Sprint Romanais Peageois – the team of Tour de France yellow jersey holder and local boy, Charley Mottet - in nearby, Romans-sur-Isere.  He has trained and raced many times on these roads and is on hand to pass on his first hand knowledge, guidance and advice. 

Bike Hire

We have joined forces with a premier bike rental company in France and can now offer our guests a choice of Trek, Scott and Lynskey Aluminium and Titanium road bikes and Trek hybrid bikes from. All bikes come with pump, computer, inner tube and repair kit, 2 bottle cages, 1 bottle, helmet and choice of pedals (Look / Shimano / flat pedals with or without toeclips). Independent or Accompanied Rides

For those who want to ride independently we have a comprehensive choice of detailed route maps all chosen and ridden by us with the emphasis on highlighting stunning scenery, varied terrain, quiet roads with cafe/lunch stops and places of interest.

We are official CTC tour organisers and part of the 'Gites de France' label.

For  non-cyclists or those who also want a different experience there is a huge variety of other activities and sightseeing interests.

Accommodation for groups

We can accommodate up to 14 people giving you the opportunity to come as a couple, family or as a group of friends and offer competitive rates. During our first year at Velo Vercors we have welcomed cyclists from the UK, Australia, Ireland, Holland and Canada and this year look forward to welcoming junior members of the 'Glendene CC' and Australian Vet champions.

Cyclo Sportives

This year we are offering 4 cyclosportives to give experienced and enthusiastic riders alike the opportunity to ride in organised mass participation events.
