Directions to find us when you arrive at St.Jean-en-royans. After the roundabout with the intermarche supermarket on your left as you arrive at St.Jean - continue up the small incline and take the first right after the Gendarmarie on your left. You will see La Poste on your left as your turn in. Follow this road for about 1/2 km - it twists right but keep straight and then as the road narrows with red and white bollards the road will fork immediately and you take the right fork descending Montee des Usines. We are the first house in front of you with long drive and 'Welcome to Velo Vercors'. if you go past the fish farm (pisciculture) and bridge you need to turn back.
New for 2014 - In the summer, there is a direct, non-stop Eurostar from London to Avignon that will accept full sized bike bags. (about 7am from London to 2pm in Avignon) You will then have to take a TGV train from Avignon to Valence (journey time less than half an hour)
Eurostar have recently changed their rules on carrying bikes so find out more information if you are thinking of bringing your own bike 2013 Eurostar bike rules. If you don't want the hassle of bringing your own bike you can hire a Top Range Carbon or Aluminium road bikes. Bike Hire
Another hassle free way to get to us. Bike express takes you and your bike from UK with a drop off at Valence TGV
New for 2012. For our Irish guests Ryan Air now flies from Dublin and Knock to Paris Beauvais. You'll then need to take a taxi (15 min journey) or the Ryan air shuttle bus (over an hour) to continue the journey by the TGV train from Paris Gard de Nord to Valence TGV (2 hour journey) and then collection or car hire at Valence TGV (40 mins from us by car). Our nearest airport is Lyon St. Expury which is 1 1/2 hour drive to us. It is then possible to take the Airport shuttle tram which costs 15 Euros and runs every 15 mins to Lyon Part Dieu where you can pick up the TGV to Valence TGV (not Valence Ville)
From Geneva its a 3 hour drive to Velo Vercors.

By Ferry or Eurotunnel to Calais, then 10 hour drive to St.Jean-en-Royans.
When you come off the autoroute at St.Nazaire-en-Royans follow the sign for St.Jean-en-Royans (15kms) passing through St.Thomas-en-Royans. On the incline into St.Jean you will pass the Gendarmarie on the left. Take the next right (Rue des Industries) passing La Poste on the left as you turn into the road. Follow the road all the way until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right hand fork which descends into Montee des Usines. As you descend the entrance to Velo Vercors is directly in front of you. If you pass the Pisciculture (trout farm) you have gone too far.
