For our Irish Guests New for 2012 Ryanair are flying from Dublin and Knock to Paris Beauvais. Onward journey by taxi (15mins and 12 Euro) to Paris Gare de Nord to take the TGV to Valence TGV (2 hours) where we will collect you or you can pick up hire car. Bikes go free on TGV if in soft bike bag

The Eurostar/TGV is a wonderful, hassle free way of getting to us. The journey generally takes 6-7 hours from St.Pancras to Valence TGV making sure you change at Lille, which requires a simple platform change, rather than Paris which means changing stations. There is limited space onboard for your bikes, but they do travel free if they are in a soft bike bag. See below for Taxi Transfer costs.

Our nearest airport is Lyon which is 1 1/2 hour drive to us.

From Grenoble (winter season) its a 40 min drive to Velo Vercors. 

From Geneva its a 3 hour drive to Velo Vercors.

New for 2012. For our Irish guests Ryan Air now flies from Dublin and Knock to Paris Beauvais. You'll then need to take a taxi (15 min journey) or the Ryan air shuttle bus (over an hour) to continue the journey by the TGV train from Paris Gard de Nord to Valence TGV (2 hour journey) and then collection or car hire at Valence TGV  (40 mins from us by car).  For more information have a look at the Paris by Train information site.

We have agreed rates with our local taxi company based in St.Jean-en-Royans. For you, your bike and luggage a one way trip with a max of 6 people will cost:

Valence TGV £50

Grenoble (Isere) £65

Lyon £130


By Ferry or Eurotunnel to Calais, then 10 hour drive to St.Jean-en-Royans.

When you come off the autoroute at St.Nazaire-en-Royans follow the sign for St.Jean-en-Royans (15kms) passing through St.Thomas-en-Royans. On the incline into St.Jean you will pass the Gendarmarie on the left. Take the next right (Rue des Industries) passing La Poste on the left as you turn into the road. Follow the road all the way until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right hand fork which descends into Montee des Usines. As you descend the entrance to Velo Vercors is directly in front of you. If you pass the Pisciculture (trout farm) you have gone too far.
